This form states the terms and conditions that will need to be read and understood by all interested parties involved in work undertaken by BMW Services. It is assumed that if you agree to the attached quotation that you agree and comply with these terms and conditions.

CONCRETE:

• A period of 2 days curing time is required before any walking on the new concrete.
• A period of 7 days curing time is required before any driving on the new concrete.
• A period of 28 days curing time is required before any painting / spray coating is applied to the new concrete.

• BMW Services Concreting will not be held liable for damages or faults as a consequence of not following the above stated terms.

SUB-GRADING & MACHINE WORK:

• All reasonable care for lawn and garden areas will be taken, however, the process of concrete placement in most cases requires machines. These machines do make a certain amount of mess and damage to lawns and gardens whilst trying to carry out their work. BMW Services Concreting will not be held liable to repair damaged lawn and garden areas unless these areas have been excessively damaged beyond what is considered normal by a machine.
• Whilst sub-grading it is reasonable to expect the machine to dig up underlying cabling / storm water etc. If you are aware of there being these items underneath the project area, please advise BMW Services prior to commencement of work so we can make sure damage does not incur. If you have not advised BMW Services of these items, and these items are damaged in the process of sub-grading, it is expected that the client and BMW Services both equally cover the cost of repair to these items. It is un-reasonable to expect BMW Services to cover the entire cost of damage to these areas without BMW Services having prior knowledge they exist.
• During the process of concrete excavation and removal, a jackhammer and bobcat will be required in most cases. During this process it is reasonable to expect minimal damage to storm water pipes that exist in the old concrete. Replacement and repair of these pipes will be covered entirely by the client due to damage not being able to be avoided.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• All construction work carried out by BMW Services complies with Australian Standards for Concrete “as3600”.
• All care in preparation for the new concrete will be undertaken to its fullest.
• On all occasions a suitable base for the new concrete will be put down to make sure the concrete has a firm base to sit on. (Crusher dust, sand etc).
• Abel flex will be placed at all joins of new and old concrete to assist in expansion and control cracking.
• Controlled separation points will be placed in projects which have numerous tension areas.
• Steel starter bars will be drilled into existing concrete areas where applicable to stop the new concrete from lifting and help control cracking.
• Steel reinforcing fabric will be placed throughout the entire project approx 30mm from the surface of the new concrete to again assist in crack prevention.
• Control joints will be cut in or put in wet at tensions points in the concrete at designated intervals.
• Standard steel requirements for footings and trenches etc will be used in accordance with building plans.
• All concrete to be placed is to be in accordance with Australian Standards and never to exceed 100 slump and never drop less than 25MPA.
• By the above procedures being standard for BMW Services projects, it makes sure that we as contractors, have done everything possible to ensure the integrity of your new concrete.

PAYMENT:

• Payment options are either by cash, cheque or bank transfer.
• A deposit is required prior to commencement of work and will be invoiced and said amount deducted from the final invoice.
• If work is to be completed on a Friday or Saturday, and payment is due on that Friday or Saturday, then payment is to be received by cash only. Other forms of payment will not be accepted unless agreed to by both parties prior to commencement of work.
• Final payment is due on completion of work.
• BMW Services does not offer payment plans or part payments. Our clients will be advised when we are expecting to complete work, a total final figure will be given to our clients, and it is expected that the money will be paid upon completion.
• The deposit that is to be paid prior to commencement totals to the amount of the concrete being placed. BMW Services cover’s all other aspects of the construction work from machine hire, to pump hire, steel, labour etc, and this usually equals to approximately the same amount as the concrete price. By our clients paying for approximately half of the materials, it guarantees that both parties are serious about the work getting done professionally, and serious about final payment. Thank you for your understanding.
• If for any reason final payments if not received or there are discrepancies with final payment, legal action will be taken by BMW Services to make sure payment if made. The process of this legal action will be as follows:

1. QBSA will be brought in to inspect the work and either pass or fail.
2. Upon the work being passed by the QBSA, an order will be given to the client from the QBSA to make final payment to BMW Services.
3. If this order is not obeyed, further legal action will be undertaken through our lawyers and debt collectors.

Thank you kindly for reading through our terms and conditions, if you have any questions please don’t hesitate to ask. We look forward to assisting you in your construction project.
